Confluence Solar was founded in 2007 by silicon industry veterans with the purpose of bringing premium quality, low-cost single crystal silicon as a platform for high efficiency cell design to solar cell manufacturers. In September 2008, VAN LEUVEN Communications began working with Confluence Solar to oversee their communications initiatives. VLC supports Confluence Solar’s investor relations, analyst relations and trade and business media relations locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. In January 2010, Confluence Solar received more than 1,300 feature stores within a 24-hour time frame when VLC announced their selection of Tennessee to build their new $200 million manufacturing facility.
